Engine Pricing
Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine.
– Elvis Presley
Due to the nature of a custom or high performance motor, every build is different and pricing is determined by many factors – the type of motor, the various components, how it is to be used and the driver… just to name a few.
Our slogan “Custom built not only for the car but also for the driver” means exactly that. We strive to be sure that we get the right combination the first time.
Let’s talk and make sure we get you what you want with few surprises…unless they’re good ones!
Some basic considerations for estimating the motor cost:
Cylinder Blocks: New, aftermarket or good used original Ford core
Cylinder heads: New, aftermarket aluminum or good used iron cores – Ported or left stock
Crankshafts: Stroker or good stock Crank core
Camshafts: Roller or flat tappet? Hydraulic or solid?
Rocker arms: aftermarket T&D or stock rebuilt
Pistons: cast, forged or Stroker
Rings: stock cast iron, Plasma moly, Size
Rods: Stock good cores or aftermarket I Beam or H Beam. Stroker
Timing sets: stock replacement to Torrington, Roller or Milodon Gear Drive
Oil pan and Windage tray: Deep sump, Road Race, stock replacement
There are other considerations and different choices to choose from that effect the final price.
Its best to contact us and together we can define what you need and the costs associated with those choices!
