Due to the nature of a custom or high performance motor, every build is different and pricing is determined by many factors –  the type of motor, the various components, how it is to be used and the driver… just to name a few.

Some basic considerations for estimating the motor cost:

• Cylinder Blocks: New, aftermarket or good used original Ford core
• Cylinder heads: New, aftermarket aluminum or good used iron cores – Ported or left stock
• Crankshafts: Stroker or good stock Crank core
• Camshafts: Roller or flat tappet? Hydraulic or solid?
• Rocker arms: aftermarket T&D or stock rebuilt
• Pistons: cast, forged or Stroker
• Rings: stock cast iron, Plasma moly, Size
• Rods: Stock good cores or aftermarket I Beam or H Beam. Stroker
• Timing sets: stock replacement to Torrington, Roller or Milodon Gear Drive
• Oil pan and Windage tray: Deep sump, Road Race, stock replacement
